Shipping Policy


If you have placed an order with Hunter & Nomad – firstly – THANKYOU for supporting our small business!!! All in stock orders are sent from our Hunter & Nomad HQ in Brisbane, Australia and all made to order items are sent directly from our supplier to your doorstep to help reduce our carbon footprint and reduce textile overproduction.

Processing Times:

For in stock items please allow up to 3-4 business days for your order to be processed and packed, however in most cases your order will be packed and sent the next business day. During large sale events, our processing times may be extended.

Made to Order Processing / Shipping Times:

For made to order items please please refer to the product listing for timeframe guidelines.

Typically for made to order items, these will be hand crafted for you (processing time estimates 1-7 business days for most products. Our Diamond Multicolour Rug takes longer.

To help reduce our carbon foot print, typically made to order rugs will be shipped directly to you from our supplier. Estimates are 6-14 business days +processing times.

For made to order ottomans and cushions, these will be hand crafted (processing time estimates 1-7 business days). These will then be shipped to our Hunter + Nomad head office (6-14 business days) and then we will ship to you directly. Domestic shipping time frames will then apply.

While we do our best to factor in enough time for potential delays during production and shipment, unfortunately, the exact timing lies out of our control. We hope for your understanding.

Domestic shipping + Delivery Times:
We use Shippit (Couriers please, Aramex), Sendle and Australia Post to send packages. All packages will be sent tracked and a tracking number will be provided (if available) once your order has been sent. Please remember to check your spam/junk folders, as our automated emails may flow there from time to time based on your inbox settings.
Delivery time is estimated between 3-5 working days and in some cases up to 10 working days (ie: Perth & rural locations).

Shipping Costs:

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Items are sent in appropriately sized parcels and boxes. Shipping is calculated and displayed before you finalise your order on our Website.

International Shipping:

International shipping is available. For most overseas locations our website will automatically calculate your shipping fees. Should this information not be automatically displayed at checkout, please contact us on for a quote prior to purchasing. All shipping charges are subject to change without notice, in accordance with the fees and charges of our shipping providers. Free shipping is available on rugs (over $300AUD) to USA, Canada, UK, NZ.

Shipping Delays and Lost/Missing Packages:
If you have received your tracking number but your parcel appears to be delayed or it has been marked as delivered and you have not received it please follow our best tips and practices:

1) In the first instance we recommend following up directly with the courier via the tracking number issued. As they can verify information about location or delivery status quickly and directly with you.

2) For missing or lost parcels,in most instances the courier service can provide photo evidence of delivery. If this appears to be incorrect, the courier company can directly assist you via their customer service teams and help arrange redelivery.

3) Check with surrounding neighbors if the package has been delivered next door by mistake. Often this can be the case, and this can help resolve any further follow up required.

AND remember we are here to help! If you don't receive a timely response from the couriers/or need additional help locating your package, please contact our friendly customer service team for a helpful resolution.

Christmas Deliveries

Please expect some delays in the weeks leading up to Christmas based on increased freight volumes globally. Please keep this in mind and finalise any orders well in advance of the Christmas period to avoid disappointment, as we cannot guarantee your order will be delivered in the normal timeframes.

Incorrect or Returned Parcels

If the courier is unable to deliver your parcel due to an incorrect delivery address, or if the parcel is returned to us as undeliverable, an extra postage fee will apply to send it again. If this occurs, we will contact you to consider your options.

Customs and Duties

If you require International Shipping for your purchase, import duties and taxes may apply.

All customs/import duties & taxes on orders outside of Australia are the responsibility of the customer. Hunter & Nomad is legally required to declare the full value paid on shipments and must include an invoice for customs should they require it. If you require further information, we recommend that you contact your local Customs office.
